We are seeking a highly motivated scientist (title and responsibilities to be adjusted as per experience) to join our research team. The successful candidate will play a key role in building an industry-leading cell therapy platform to develop life-saving cell therapies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Establish NSG animal models for in vivo testing of CAR-T, CAR-NK and other cell therapy product candidates.
  2. Establish in vivo assays for functional analysis of CAR-T, CAR-NK cells.
  3. Establish and maintain cancer cell lines for in vitro and in vivo assays.
  4. Write and review in vivo studies protocols, schedules and coordinate with study directors.
  5. Manage vivarium operations and CRO relations, including equipment and consumables.
  6. Manage, and keep animal protocols updated for new cancer models and study procedures.
  7. Perform tumor burden measurements by volume and live animal imaging.
  8. Maintain organized, detailed records to support internal documentation and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Competencies

  1. Must have routinely performed xenograft cancer models using NSG or similar mouse strains.
  2. Must have live animal imaging system experience.
  3. Experience in administering CAR-NK or CAR- T cells to mouse models.
  4. Experience in monitoring animal health, GVHD, and tumor growth.
  5. Experience in isolating immune cells from tumor and tissues.
  6. Knowledge and experience with allogeneic CAR-NK or CAR-T is preferred.
  7. Able to work independently as well as in a team with diverse background.
  8. Able to collect, analyze and present data to the research and management teams.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and detailed record keeping skills.
  10. A can-do attitude and an ability to adapt to evolving priorities.

Educational Requirement

  1. PhD., MS. or BS. in Immunology, Bioengineering, Biology, Animal Sciences, or related fields with over 4 years of cell therapy in vivo model related academic or industry experience.

Overland Compensation and Benefits:

  1. The expected salary range for this position based on the South San Francisco is $70,000 ~ $110,000. The pay ultimately offered will be determined based on job-related qualifications, education, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
